History
- Then Auditor General Bob Casey, Jr. convened a symposium in 1999. PCCC grew out of the symposium and was founded in 2000 following a Keystone Research Center paper by Susan Eaton about providing quality care and quality jobs in long-term care.
- Received 10 copies of Getting Started in 2005 from Pioneer Network to facilitate shared learning.
- Convened 1st Pennsylvania Accord in November, 2005 (150 attendees) with Yael Harris.
- Subsequent Accords: November 2006 (300 attendees) with Robyn Stone; November 2007 (500 attendees) with Joanne Rader; November 2008 with Bill Thomas.
- In addition to the yearly Accord, the Coalition has organized over a dozen regional shared learning events since 2005 (held in the communities of active coalition members).
Organizational Structure
Pennsylvania Culture Change Coalition, Inc is a 501 C-3 organization. The Board of Directors includes a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and an Advisory Board.
Funding
PCCC receives some administrative support from the Department of the Auditor General, Office of Policy and Planning. Exhibitors/vendors help cover annual conference expenses and communication tools (e.g., PCCC brochure). The Coalition has also generated revenue from the yearly Accord.
