CLOSING SESSION

      A Call to Laugh
Reflecting on our political calls to action,Mark Russell, acclaimed American political satirist, comedian, and piano player will join us to provide humor and levity on the day’s current events including health care in light of the soon to follow Republican and Democratic conventions and the election. With his trademark piano in tow, Russell presents the day’s headlines as he turns Washington,D.C., into a musical comedy tour-de-force that leaves audiences rolling in the aisles. Called,“the funniest man on television,” by TV Guide, Russell has appeared on the American public broadcasting network PBS at least four times a year for the past 25 years. Russell returned to performing at the Omni in 2007, and today the Marquee Lounge is his signature stage.
