The Eden Alternative Domains of Well-Being® provide a framework for helping residents improve their living experiences and well-being by overcoming the Three Plagues of Loneliness, Helplessness, and Boredom (identified through the work of Dr. Bill Thomas). This framework can also be used by leaders to help their staff overcome these same Three Plagues by improving their working experiences and well-being. Implementing these same Domains of Well-Being and creating a path towards “workplace citizenship” is the key to strengthening employee retention and engagement.
