FACULTY BIOS:

Kelly Denning

Kelly Denning brings 25 years of human resource experience, much of which has been in the not-for-profit arena. She has served at Christian Living Communities for 14 years in multiple roles including talent acquisition, training and development and employee engagement. Her passion is to ensure that team members feel valued and respected in order to ensure that residents and clients receive excellence in care. Kelly worked to create a different experience for team members in performance management by researching best practices and working to develop tools to promote a culture of relationship and communication. This resulted in moving away from traditional appraisals annually, and implementation of connection conversations for new team members. In addition, Kelly obtained a certification in mediation to offer resources and training to managers and team members around navigating conflict in the workplace. Kelly has a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management with a minor in Human Resource Management and maintains her national HR competency-based certifications through SHRM and HRCI.

Jayne Keller

Jayne Keller brings more than 30 years of experience in senior services, ranging from skilled nursing administration to operating a full continuum community including assisted living and independent living. She currently serves as the Vice-President of Senior Living for Christian Living Communities and Cappella Living Solutions. Her solid operational talent has brought many successes to the organization and she continues to lead the industry with innovative and creative approaches to significant challenges within the profession.

Prior to joining CLC, Jayne worked for two for-profit organizations in Colorado. She served for several years on the Board of Directors for Colorado Health Care Association and served as the state leader for National Centers of Assisted Living. Most recently, she completed a three-year commitment as the chairperson of the LeadingAge Colorado Conference Planning Committee. Jayne is a proud alumnus of the LeadingAge Leadership Academy, completing her academy journey in 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Illinois University and a Master of Science degree in health services administration from Regis University.

Pat McBride

Pat McBride has more than 35 years of experience in the field of nursing, including leadership positions as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and Director of Nursing (DON), college nursing educator, and Colorado Board of Nursing. Pat joined the Christian Living Communities/Cappella Living Solutions team in 2010 and currently serves as the Vice President of Clinical and Compliance, responsible for clinical excellence, quality of care, risk management and regulatory compliance. Pat immediately tackled the issue of clinical retention at the organization, developing an impactful mentorship program with 1-year retention rates of 75-95%. In 2019, she completed the LeadingAge Leadership Academy. Pat’s project was creating an empathy experience where senior leadership slept over in the skilled nursing neighborhoods of the organization. The impact on the leadership team was immeasurable. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villanova University and a Master of Science in Nursing and Gerontology from the University of Colorado. Pat’s passion is to provide associates with the skills, processes, structure, and compassion to thrive in an ever-changing and increasingly demanding clinical and compliance world of senior services.
