The past few months have been incredibly challenging for many of us, and especially for long-term care communities. We are at a historic time in our country where once again, the issues of racial disparity and equity are at the forefront of people’s hearts and minds. The vision of Pioneer Network is, and always has been, A Culture of Aging that is Life-Affirming, Satisfying, Humane and Meaningful. For everyone. No matter where someone lives, the life they’ve lived or the color of their skin.
We stand up for unity, for all those who live and work in care communities and for everyone, throughout the country and across the globe. I’m reminded of one of our most important values: Relationship is the fundamental building block of a transformed culture. We need transformation right now. We need to build relationships. We need to do better.
