Travel to/from the Airport and Around Town

What better way than to start networking and making connections – and save money – than by setting up a ride-share with fellow attendees.

  • Click on “community” on the bottom of the App, scroll down until you see “Sharing a Ride” and then type in a message to fellow attendees letting them know the time, date, and locations you want to share a ride. You can use the information below to help you finalize your plans.

The following transportation options are available to you during your stay:

RIDE SHARING

Use your favorite app to catch a ride. Lyft and Uber pick up at Ground Transportation on Level 5 Island 5. Average cost from Denver International to Sheraton Denver Downtown is $35-$55.

Those requesting pickup on one of those apps, should follow ground transportation through doors 506-510 on the west side or 507-511 on the east side.  Take Level 5 near baggage claim and head out to meet your driver.

General Tips for how to get picked up with Uber at DEN Airport

1. Request when you’re ready to walk outside, once you have claimed your bags.

  • And choose a ride option that suits your group size and luggage storage needs.

2. Exit on the correct level.

  • Passengers with accessibility needs may be picked up in the designated ADA access zone on the arrivals level

3. Meet your driver curbside.

  • There are two sides to the DEN terminal (East and West), so be sure to select the appropriate side after you hit “Request.”
  • If you are unsure of your terminal, check the signs posted outside.
  • If you need to confirm your pickup location, contact your driver through the app.

TAXI CABS

The average cost of a cab ride from the Airport to the hotel is $56.00 for the first traveler. There is an additional cost for each person sharing the cab.

DENVER RTD (Regional Transportation District) – Light Rail – A Line

The Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD) offers an inexpensive and convenient way to navigate the city. One-Way fare from the Airport to Union Station is $10.50 and takes about 37 minutes. This fee can be purchased at machines located in the airport or purchased online through the RTD app. There are racks onboard for luggage storage.

Head down to the Transit Center, located on the ground level outside the Westin and access at the south end of the terminal. Take the Union Station stop which is located on the 16th Street Mall, and from there you can take the free shuttle right to the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. The train departs every 15 minutes during peak hours beginning at 4:15 am through 6:30 pm and every half hour during off hours.
